Following a tag allows you to recieve updates any time a new post is uploaded with that tag.

Staff can follow up to 1000 tags.
Trusted users can follow up to 500 tags.
Members can follow up to 100 tags.

To follow a tag, go to a post, hover over the tag in the left bar, and click the heart icon. Click the heart icon again to unfollow it.
You can see the list of tags you've followed here

New posts for your followed tags will show up in your notifications

To list the followers of a tag, go to its tag page or artist page, and click the "Followers" link. You will not be able to see if someone follows a tag if they have privacy mode enabled.
