Blocking is a fundamental part of the site, and can prevent unwanted contact with another user. Blocking has each of these as an individually toggleable option.

• Hide uploads - Hides any posts uploaded by the user.
• Hide comments - Hides any comments made by the user.
• Hide forum topics - Hides any forum topics made by the user.
• Hide forum posts - Hides any forum posts made by the user.
• Disable messages - Prevents getting any DMails from the user.
• You cannot disable messages from staff members.
• Suppress mentions - Disables notifications for any mentions from the user.

You can see and manage the list of users you've blocked here.
When something has been blocked on the current page, a notice near the top will be shown with a link to unhide anything that was hidden.
